ALIPH Application Information and Instructions
Fulltime & Individual Courses

Academic Year 2024-2025

Important Note: This application process is to be completed by all NEW students to the Full-Time Program or Individual Courses.

INITIAL APPLICATION PROCESS

  • Priority Application Deadline – July 15, 2024
  • Late applications will be accepted AFTER July 15, 2024 ($25 late fee donation)

All new applicants must be 18 years of age or older by August 1, 2024, and SUBMIT the following by the application deadline to begin the application process:

APPLICATION FEE DONATION in the amount of $75 USD (non-refundable application donation).  Applicants will be prompted to pay this via credit card when submitting the actual online application.  Applications will not be processed without this donation – see “Application” link at bottom of page [Late applications: $25 late fee donation]
IDENTIFICATION
valid state driver license (US students)

Applicants will be prompted to upload a color copy of their identification to their actual application before it can be submitted [.pdf, .jpg, or .png format] – see “Application” link at bottom of page
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION from the local AICP branch manager (share below link with your local branch manager)

*It is the applicant’s responsibility to follow up with his/her branch manager to ensure that the letter of recommendation is submitted by the application due date
PERSONAL ESSAY. Applicants will write and upload a personal essay of 250 – 500 words about why they want to learn Arabic.  This essay helps us become acquainted with the prospective student as a person and student, apart from the information provided on the application, and it will be uploaded as part of the application before submission [.pdf format] – see “Application” link at bottom of page
For virtual students only: EXPLANATION LETTER OF VIRTUAL ATTENDANCE. Virtual learning is offered on a pre-approved basis only for students who cannot physically attend classes on campus.  All students are expected to exert their full effort to attend ALIPH in person, even if they are international students.  Students applying for virtual learning must submit a written explanation with their application detailing why they cannot attend in person [.pdf format] – see “Application” link at bottom of page

**After successful submission of these documents, ALIPH Administration will schedule a phone or virtual interview with the applicant.  After the interview, ALIPH Administration will notify the applicant of acceptance or decline.


STUDENT QUALIFICATIONS

Each Branch Manager shall use the designated letter of recommendation template, and must certify that each applicant from their locality:

  1. Learned the Summary (Mukhtasar);
  2. Volunteers and participates in many of the activities held by the local branch on a regular basis;
  3. Attends AICP classes in their locality on a regular basis;
  4. Is known in the community as a person of good Islamic behavior and character; and
  5. Is known in the community as a team player.

PLACEMENT EXAM

All new students will be required to take a placement exam virtually, prior to arrival in Philadelphia.  ALIPH administration will contact the students to set an appropriate time.


TUITION DONATIONS

Full-Time Program
The tuition donation for the entire 2024-2025 academic school year is $4,200 USD (not including application fee donation), which is based on three (3) equal installments of $1,400 per trimester. 

Individual Courses
The tuition donation is $150 per credit per trimester (not including application fee donation).

Housing
ALIPH partners with local housing solutions. The total amount for lodging in the men’s or women’s housing for the 2024-2025 school year is $4,500 USD, which is based on three (3) equal installments of $1,500 per trimester. 

**All amounts are donations.  Therefore, if for any reason a student discontinues studies after the donation, it will not be refunded.  So, ensure a sincere intention.
